Description

Encapsulated retinol is a version of retinol that envelops the ingredient in a protective, multi-layer liquid crystalline microsphere. When applied to skin, its moisturising outer-coating time-releases the active Retinol, which penetrates deep into the skin to deliver superior results, while mitigating potential side effects.

It also creates an invisible protective shield on the skin’s surface, which helps reduce moisture loss.

Tips

If you are using Vitamin A – Retinol you can do so in tandem with Vitamin B to boost the efficacy of both.

Do you suffer with Acne ?
Retinol can be incredibly helpful for people who often have acne and breakouts. It stops pores form clogging and pimples, blackheads and cysts from forming. Always check with a dermatologist if you are on any other acne routines that include benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or a prescription may already have some form of Retinol and a combination of ingredients can overdo its effects.

Retinol and Sunexposure ?
Retionol is sensitive to sunlight, so if you applied retinol and exposed your skin to sun, the Retinol would be less effective. It is also imperative to use sunscreen daily to protect skin while using retinol, as it can become more sensitive to sun.
Best time to apply – PM

TOP TIP – What order do I apply my skincare regime ?
Always layer your products by their consistency, applying thinner serums first before building up to the thicker consistencies.

FAQs

What is Retinol ?
Retinol is a synthetic derivative of vitamin A. retinol is a GOLD standard in skin care because it alters the behaviour of aged cells so they act in a more youthful manner. It smooths and refines skins texture, enhances skin radiance and treats ageing.

How Often should I use Retinol ?
Since Retinol is such a powerful ingredient it can cause skin to redden or peel if its incorporated in to a skincare regimen too quickly or used to often.
Begin by adding it into your nightly routine one to two times per week for the first week and gradually increasing it gradually from there. It is also imperative to use sunscreen daily to protect skin while using retinol, as it can become more sensitive to sun.

How long does it take before I will see noticeable changes in my skin ?
It takes an average of 12 weeks ,so stick with it for at least that long to see the benefits.

What is Hyper-pigmentation ?
Hyperpigmentation is where patches of the skin become darker than the skin surrounding it, or uneven skin pigmentation. The darkening in the skin occurs with an excess of melanin, the brown pigment deposits in the skin. The main trigger for an excess of melanin is sun exposure, hormonal influences, age and skin injuries or inflammation. Retinol and Vitamin C are two of the best ingredients for fading dark spots.
